CLARK NIPS COREY MASON FOR
LMS WIN AT
It was another great night of racing at the P.A.S.S. sanctioned
In a near photo finish in the Gilmour Jeep / Ford / Dodge Late Model,
Russell Clark edged out point leader, Corey Mason at the stripe to pick up his
first win of the season. The pair raced side by side over the final nine laps,
with
Luke Shannon extended his points lead in the Budweiser Super Stocks as
he rolled to another win over Brian Gosselin, Jeff Fysh, Brian Middleton and
James Lambert. Gosselin and Denny Degreenia and David Ofsuryk Jr. won their
respective heats.
Ryan Heuser collected his career first victory in the
Rookie, Vanessa Brown, won her second Leo Enos Angels feature, as she
survived a pair of red flags and numerous cautions along the way. Point
leader, Traci Nelson raced home second, followed by Shirley Ward, Kate Demar
and Jen Terrill. Demar ended up on her side over the top of turn one after the
checkers flew, as three cars got together at the finish line, and Demars
flipped her machine onto her side. She wasn’t injured.
The Wildman Auto Daredevils once again thrilled the crowd as both of
last week’s winners repeated the feat. Tyler Leighton won the rookie
division over Kristopher Russell, Brendon Hunt, Andrew Fecteau and Randy
Whittum. Cody Hodge prevailed again in the veterans class as he bested Jesse
Switser, Dilyn Switser, Brandon Lambert and Kyle Pembroke.
Charlie Rockwell was victorious in the Jiffy Mart Cyclones, as he took
a hard fought victory over Jeff Ainsworth. The pair battled hard over the
final fifty laps with Rockwell coming out on top. Scott Marshall, Shaun
Stetson and Andy Simpson completed the top five.
In the Battle of the Sexes II, Angels vs Cyclones, it was Andy Simspon
leading the way, with Jeff Ainsworth, Aric Cole, Scott Marshall and Allison
Brown rounding out the top five.
