Riverside Speedway to hold Bond Auto Parts Triple Crown Series for Town & Country Motor Inn Street Stock Class
New Riverside Speedway general managers Jean and Jane LeBlanc are pleased to announce a new Triple Crown Racing Series, to be sponsored by Bond Auto Parts for the Town and Country Motor Inn Street Stock division in 2010.
The series will be a three race series, that will include two 50 lap featured events with a $500 winners purse, and the third race will be the prestigious Jake McDowell 100 that will pay out a winners share of $1000.
The 50 lap events will take place on Saturday June 12th at 6 p.m. Town and Country Motor Inn night and Saturday August 21st at 6 p.m. on Bond Auto Parts/Make-A-Wish night.
The Jake McDowell 100 is part of Summerfest weekend and scheduled to run on Friday July 30th at 6:30 p.m.
“We are very excited to be able to offer this deal for our Street Stock drivers,” said LeBlanc. “This division has seen the most growth over the last couple of seasons and with the success that we had with the Jake McDowell race, we decided to increase it to a three race deal. The rules will be the similar to last years race in that Riverside regulars will get a set amount of points for attempting to qualify. WMMP Mini Stocks, and Thunder Road Street Stocks and Warrior cars can participate in the series, following their rules. Riverside Cyclones will also be allowed to take part, using their rules now that they are using the same track tires as the Street Stocks.”
The Triple Crown Events will start 28 cars for their featured event . 24 cars will be taken through qualifying and four provisionals will be handed out accordingly.
A separate point standings will be in place for this series and the top five in points will be honored at the Annual Awards Banquet.
The Town and Country Motor Inn will also provide a free night’s stay, to both the 2010 Street Stock season champion and also to the Triple Crown series Champion on the night of the Annual Awards Banquet.
Bond Auto Parts will also sponsor the weekly Street Stock “Hard Charger Award” with a weekly $25 gift certificate. The Street Stock driver that has moved up the most positions in the feature race will get the “Hard Charger Award”.
